APPLICATIONS IN THE FOOD INDUSTRY
Food and Beverages: Coconut oil is used in the production of ice cream, confectionery, pastries, powdered milk-based drinks, smoothies, flavorings, dressings, candies, and gourmet dishes. It can be used as a substitute for other vegetable fats, such as cocoa butter and margarine. Its use is primarily directed toward the food industry, as a raw material for the production of sweets, etc.
Other Applications: Coconut oil can also be used in the manufacture of insect repellents, personal care products, furniture polish, candles, soaps, cosmetics, lubricants, among others.
